Builder’s Story: A Legacy of Excellence in Home Building
The foundation of our company dates back to 1983 when Howard Buescher, a seasoned home-building expert with 23 years of experience, joined forces with his daughter, Sue Girard, to establish a new home-building company. Originally planning to retire to sunny Florida, Howard was persuaded by Sue to build just a "few" homes together in the area. Their shared vision was clear—to deliver superior homes at exceptional value while emphasizing high-quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship. Through dedication and hard work, Howard and Sue built a company that grew to become the second-largest private home builder in the country.
Today, a new generation is carrying forward this proud legacy. Some of Sue’s children have followed in the family’s footsteps, having been immersed in the home-building world from an early age. Under the guidance of their father, Greg Girard, they gained hands-on experience in construction management, framing, and trim carpentry.
